“Sow a thought, reap an act
Sow an act, reap a habit
Sow a habit, reap a character
Sow a character, reap a destiny”
Poet, Samuel Smiles

Vision for Cherrybrook Students

Persons of faith who live it with personal conviction
Persons of heart; refined, compassionate, generous, and loving
Persons of service: caring for the needs of others
Persons of integrity, courage, strength, competence and commitment
Persons who strive for balance in their professional careers and family life
Persons who are true and trusted friends
Persons who engage the world and are making a contribution to the betterment of society
In his book, The Greatest Generation, Tom Brokaw talks about the men and women whose everyday lives of duty, honour, achievement, and courage gave us the world we live in today. What was the secret of their lives? He sums up the answer so beautifully with these words, "It's how they were raised."

All parents have dreams for their children. We, at Cherrybrook, share those dreams with our parents. Together, parents and staff prepare the students to be men and women cultured in heart and mind, who will make a lasting contribution to society.

Bringing up children today in the complex post-modern world is different. Our parents intuitively brought us up well, but for present-day parents to simply replicate their parents' approach can be ineffective. Through preparation, parents today can use new knowledge to help turn their desirable goals into achievable ones.

Problems should be dealt with when the first symptoms appear. Therefore, it is never too early to develop your child's character for good. The years between 0 and 8 are the most important in his upbringing. Children learn a lot and very quickly in their first years of life. Good habits are easier to ingrain and defects are more easily overcome. Today you are training the adult of tomorrow. As parents, we have to make our children aware of what is important in life.
